Agor Agents / FAQ
Questions, answered
Everything about pricing, how your agent is built and tested, what happens if it doesn't pass, your account, privacy, and billing.
Pricing & trial
How much does it cost?
Starter $49/mo (100 voice min), Professional $119/mo (350 min), Scale $279/mo (1,200 min) — no setup fees. Web chat and an embeddable widget are included on every plan; other agents (e.g. the Support agent) are priced on their own pages.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Web and widget agents start a 14-day trial with no credit card — you only add a card if you keep it. A phone line is the one exception: it costs $5 today (it buys your real phone number and 25 trial voice minutes and goes live immediately), then your monthly plan after the 14-day trial.
Are there setup fees or contracts?
No setup fees and no contracts. It's a month-to-month subscription you can cancel yourself anytime.
How it works
How do I set up my agent?
Answer a few questions about your business, optionally point it at your website (we read up to 6 key pages) and paste any notes, price lists, or policies. Your agent is compiled, quality-tested, and — if it passes — published. No sales call, no onboarding meeting.
What's the quality exam?
Before publishing, your agent is run through simulated conversations — booking flows, out-of-scope traps, escalation triggers — and graded automatically. It has to score at least 90% to go live. No human reviews it; the exam is the gate, so a published agent has provably handled those cases.
How fast am I live?
The web agent is live a minute or two after it passes its exam. A dedicated phone number is provisioned for you, usually the same day.
Can it book into my calendar?
Yes. Connect Google Calendar with two clicks and it checks real availability and books real appointments — included on every plan.
Will callers know it's AI?
Yes — it introduces itself as an AI assistant. Callers get help instantly, 24/7, and disclosure is both honest and required in several states. In practice it's a selling point.
If your agent doesn't pass
My agent scored just under 90% and was blocked. What now?
A near-miss is almost always a single subjective judgement that clears on a second run, so you can re-run the exam for free — it doesn't use another payment or trial. You can also tighten your answers or orientation notes first (for example, spell out what the agent should do for billing disputes), then re-run.
Can I publish it anyway?
Yes. If it just missed the gate with no safety failures, there's a one-click "publish anyway" — it ships as a near-miss and you can re-run later to clear it. If it failed a safety check, there's still an explicit, confirmed override, but we strongly recommend re-running or editing your inputs instead. Overridden agents are clearly flagged on your dashboard.
Did a block use up my payment or trial?
No. A blocked or failed build never consumes your payment — you can re-run, edit and re-run, or publish-anyway without paying again. If anything ever looks stuck, support can finish the setup for you.
Accounts & managing your agent
Do I need an account?
Not to get started — your agent is saved to your browser. But if you set an email and password while provisioning, we create your account and sign you in in the same step, so you can manage, edit, and cancel your agent from any device.
Can I update what my agent knows after it's live?
Yes. From your dashboard you can refresh its knowledge — re-crawl your site or paste updated hours, prices, and policies — without rebuilding the agent.
What happens when it can't answer something?
It never guesses. Anything outside what it knows about your business is handed off to your escalation email with the caller's details, and the agent says so plainly. It will not invent a policy, price, or refund.
Data, privacy & security
Is the voice model secure and compliant?
Your phone agent's voice runs on xAI's infrastructure, which is independently SOC 2 Type 2 certified and offers HIPAA Business Associate Agreements (BAA) and GDPR/CCPA data-processing terms. Calls are encrypted in transit, and your data is never used to train xAI's or our own AI models. Note: those certifications are the voice provider's — if you handle protected health information and need a signed BAA before going live, contact support first.
What does my agent use to answer?
Only the material you give it — your answers, your notes and documents, and the pages we crawl from your site. If something isn't in that material, it hands off instead of guessing. That grounding is what keeps it from making things up.
How are payments and calendar access handled?
Payments run through Stripe — we never see or store your card. Calendar booking uses Google's OAuth with narrowly-scoped access (just the calendar booking permissions), and the connection is encrypted; you can disconnect anytime.
Where do you store my business information?
Your orientation material is stored to power your agent's answers and is scoped to your own agent. Reach support to export or delete it.
Billing, cancellation & support
How do I cancel?
Yourself, anytime — open your dashboard and click "Cancel subscription." Service runs to the end of the current billing period, then stops (a phone number, if any, is released). You can reactivate before it ends. No contracts, no email required.
What about refunds?
If something went wrong on our side, contact support and we'll make it right. A blocked build never charges you for an agent that didn't go live.
How do I reach a human?
Support runs on our own AI agent (the dogfooding story we sell) and escalates to a person when needed. Call (775) 252-8333 or email claude@agor.me — both answer 24/7 and can finish any setup for you.
Still have a question?
Call (775) 252-8333 or email claude@agor.me. Both answer 24/7.
